Guest Registration

Guest Registration is used only for accommodation operation and compliance with Japanese lodging and local health center requirements.

For guests without an address in Japan, nationality, passport number, and a passport copy may be required.

We do not use Guest Registration documents for marketing.

Guest Registration data is exported only when necessary, such as when requested by the local health center or public authorities.

Booking Platforms

If you book through Airbnb, Booking.com, or another platform, payment, cancellation rules, reviews, and platform account data are handled under that platform’s own terms and privacy policy.

KUBO.HOMES may receive reservation details from those platforms as needed to provide the stay.

Data Sharing

We do not sell guest personal information.

Information may be shared only when necessary with booking platforms, operation staff, service providers, professional advisers, or public authorities for accommodation operation, safety, compliance, or dispute resolution.

Data Retention

Japanese lodging rules generally require guest registry records to be kept for three years.

KUBO.HOMES keeps Guest Registration records and submitted guest documents for up to four years to allow for health center checks, safety, compliance, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs.

After four years, Guest Registration records and submitted guest documents are automatically deleted, unless continued retention is legally required or necessary for an unresolved issue.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect guest information.

However, no website, form, email, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Guest Requests

Guests may contact KUBO.HOMES to ask about their personal information, request corrections, or request deletion where legally possible.

Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, safety, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
